Lost In A Spotless Mind

Who Is Airam?

My name isn’t really Airam, it’s Maria, but I suppose you kind of guessed that already. I’m 23 years old, and live in Tromsø, Norway. Yes, it’s freezing and dark here most of the year, and I intend to move south sometime around the fall of 2010. By then I’ll have finished my studies of so-called “rhythmical” music – every genre except classical, that is. I sing, and sometimes pretend I can play the piano. I write songs, too, and I have a weird little band called Sordid Affair (you can find links to everything in the sidebar, if you’re curious). Oh, and I’m practically a listoholic, so I’ve put together a small one to let you get to know me a little better:

Absolute favourite movies: Lost In Translation, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind (hence the title of the blog!) and Moulin Rouge.

Cannot-live-without-items: my sparkly chandelier earrings, red lipstick and the soft button-downs from H&M.

Recommended CD’s: “Paranoid & Sunburnt” (Skunk Anansie), “Scarlet’s Walk” (Tori Amos) and Martha Wainwright’s Piaf record.

Obsessions: nerdy things (such as CSS or knowing a lot about things they never teach you in school), DIY-projects (that I never finish), dancing (I’m assistant teacher in a ballroom dancing club for students), nail art (but I’m not any good at it, as of now), chocolate, Tim Burton-movies, sisters and Boyfriend.

Every fashionista should own this: An elastic belt to cinch in the waist, a pair of impossibly high heels (just for the thrill!) and a one-of-a-kind necklace.

Best places in the world: My mother’s kitchen, London and on a stage.

Must-have electronic gadgets: My MacBook Pro, Bam (he’s a pen tablet by Bamboo) and my Canon EOS 500D.
