Lost In A Spotless Mind

I finished knitting the scarf!

Yes, Cookie, I finished a DIY. Well, sort of a DIY. I’ve knitted my second scarf, and the first one to turn out nicely. The best thing about it is that it’s so soft and warm. Perhaps I could knit a house of the same yarn? Oh, and I’ve coloured my hair. It’s almost black now (but golden in the sun), and I love the change.

I cannot do any fancy knitting at all, just the basic thing, but the lady at the yarn shop told me that if I used one rather thin (5mm) needle and one quite thick (12mm), it would create a sort of pattern all by itself. The lines that look thin and opaque come from the thin needle, and the wide and see-through lines were made by the thick needle. It turned out so nice I just might have to make another one.

This picture is closest to the real colour of the scarf, a gorgeous, dusty red-orangey shade.

PS: Thanks to Boyfriend for being the photographer. I paparazzied him while he wasn’t looking, moahaha.

Sordid Affair LIVE at Driv, Tromsø

Movie stills from film shot by Emil Bekkevold.

Dress: Topshop, slip: borrowed, belt: Lindex, red nail polish & lipstick: Maybelline, scrabble ring: Rock ‘n Rose, random black tights, sneakers: H&M.

People in band, from left to right: Kristian Olstad (guitar & backing vocals), Vegard Doszko (guitars & backing vocals), Håkon Pettersen (bass & double bass), Aleksander Kostopoulos (drums and… trinkets).

Fantastic things: the guys (in the band, of course), the dress, the sound guy, smoke on stage and the audience, the audience, the audience.

Angry song.

Happy song.

I do wish I had more photos of the entire band to show you, but I’ve only got the footage from one of the cameras (we had four, as Boyfriend is a wizard and can do magic things) that was supposed to do mostly close-ups. It was a fantastic night, though. Today my neck feels sore (from all the dancing and hair-tossing) and the cold I’ve been fighting seems to finally get to me. That can’t stop me from smiling, though. I love gig-highs, and I’ll stay on mine for as long as possible.

Daylight = Outfit Posts Again!

Today is supposedly ”the Day of the Sun” here in Tromsø (to celebrate that we can see it again), but the only thing I’ve seen all day is a thick white mist that’s covering the entire island. Makes an interesting background for outfit pictures, though, so with some help from Photographer Boyfriend I can proudly present the first outfit pictures of 2010. Tadaa.

Hairclip: “borrowed” from little sisters, gloves: Lindex, grey cardigan & trenchcoat: H&M, elastic bird belt: Topshop, beaded bag: from somewhere in Bulgaria, tights: Pierre Robert, shoes: can’t remember any more.

Christmas Calendar: Outfit with Mr. PJ

Outfit post today, the first in a very long time for two reasons. Nr. 1, after having borrowed a real camera for a while, the photos taken by my mother’s Canon Ixus 70 look so… flat. And nr. 2, we only have proper daylight for about two hours nowadays, and, sadly, the Ixus cannot deal with semi-darkness.

A more proper post tomorrow; today I want to spend time with Boyfriend (who seems to handle the whole Mr. PJ-situation remarkably well!) and some girls from school (including adorable Boo, who did my photo today). Lots of movies/TV shows and sugar will be involved, and I intend to enjoy it immensely! If you are not one of those poor people stuck with exams, I suggest you do something cozy today, too – and if you’re spending valuable study minutes on reading my blog: I am honoured. Have a wonderful day, darlings!
