What better way to start 2012 than by doing something rather scary I’ve never done before? Susanne and Lillian got a video camera for Christmas, so I thought I’d use the opportunity and play around a bit. I hope you like it, and don’t be afraid to pepper me with questions if you feel the urge. Happy 2012, darlings!

Nicely done! I love how your makeup is very simple, but precise and highlights exactly what you want it to, namely your eyes. I’m still quite jealous of your eyebrows (between you and your sister Cookie, I’ve had enough eyebrow envy to last me until 2013!)
Also, I love the music in the background. I’m going to assume it was you singing, so forgive me if I’m wrong, but you sound sensational and the song itself makes my heart ache. The lyrics and composition of the song makes me think of Florence + The Machine (one third of my “Favourite Band Trinity”). Something about it just reminds me of the song “Girl With One Eye” in the best way. Would we be hearing more of your music? More Makeup Tutorials? Either way, 2012 has a great start!

Haha, oh, those eyebrows have been wildly discussed! If it’s any consolation, they were pretty much huge and caterpillar-like all my childhood, and then turned into almost nothing when I plucked most of them away at 15. Fortunately, I saw the error of my ways before it was too late to grow them back, but there were some years where they were… rather horrible. Did that help?
The music is me, yes, I used some recordings of live performances from when I studied music a few years ago. I’m so glad you like it! Comparing it to Florence is simply too kind of you (I ADORE her!), but I’ll save the compliment in my head for a rainy day nonetheless. Thank you!
More music might be possible. When I stopped studying music, I needed a break from it to recharge, I think, but I _have_ been missing it a lot lately. I’ll make no promises, but it’s not impossible.

Great video! Do more
Just one comment, and I hope I don’t sound rude. It’s really not my intension. I was just wondering if you’d ever tried growing out the ends of your brows so they’re a bit thicker? A bit like this: http://tinyurl.com/7y2jhtd
So it would match the fullness you have at the beginning of your brow, because you have awesomely thick brows!

First, darling, it takes a whole lot more than that to insult me
in fact, I rather love it when people are curious, so questions are more than welcome,
As for my brows, I _have_ thought about that, especially since Cookie’s brows are so wonderfully thick all the way. At the moment I’m quite pleased with how my own are, and as growing them back is a bit of a bother, they’ll probably stay more or less like this for some time. Still, I like experimenting with my features, and I’m not super-attached to the shape they have now, so we’ll see!

Hurra, hverdagssminke-tutorial!

Another testament to why you are my absolute favorite blogger! I love this, and even learned a few tricks I didn’t know about. I hope to see more of this in the future -you made the entire video very elegant and classy.
Also, is it you singing? If yes (or no for that matter), please let me know where I can get hold of this song!

I’m your “absolute favourite blogger”..? I have no words <3 (although THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU comes to mind about a zillion times, in big, sparkly letters)
Yes, I’m the one singing, and I’ve actually been thinking about making a page here on the blog where people can download some songs. Musician-Maria has been kind of afraid to do so, mostly because of copyright and such, but then again, it must be better that people can listen to my things instead of it jsut wilting away in my iTunes, don’t you think?

One of my american friends posts his music on bandcamp.com where people can buy the music for the price they choose (or get it free if that is their choice). Either way, you MUST let the world hear this! It is too good not to be shared!

Thank you! I’ll try to make a couple more before I leave Harstad (and the video camera) at least, and if the money-stuff work out, I might be able to get my own camera soon
Fingers crossed, eh?

Great
I actually grew out my brows with a lash growth serum (that also did wonders for my lashes. Looks like I’m wearing false lashes all the time
) very pricy, but oh so good. Stimulash by fusion cosmetics. They sell them at Kicks and estetique.

Ooh, I’ve been so curious about those kinds of products? So they actually work, huh? How long did you have to use them to see any results? I’d love naturally-fake-lashes! Thanks for the tip

“How to Enhance the Good Things”…I have to say, I love the title! It’s exactly what it says it is
Most makeup tutorials I’ve seen that claim to show “everyday makeup” tend to do drastic transformations which are rather impractical (for everyday, that is)…but I like how you still look YOU at the end. A perkier, happier, fabulous you
Btw, I’ve LOVED blue nail polish ever since I saw the movie Coraline. But I like how your shade is darker…more sophisticated
ADORE your music!
It’s just so gorgeously surreal…but real. If you know what I mean
Could we have more, pretty-pretty please?

Such a nice video that is actually everyday-friendly! Not a million products and take me too long to recreate in the little time I can be bothered to get up earlier in the morning to do make-up, haha. And the song is fabulous! Please do put it up somewhere! And you are too adorable, I just want to pick you up and put you in my pocket ^^

Yeah, “everyday makeup videos” where they use thirty products and thirty minutes to apply drive me a little crazy. I’m really glad you like it
(and I think it would be lovely to live in a pocket! I could be a little like Thumbelina from that adorable Don Bluth-movie)
