I know I mention my sister Cookie a lot, probably because we live in the same city – the same apartment, even. Still, we have two more sisters: Lillian (left) and Susanne (right).

I made them swap places for this shot, so Susanne is on the left and Lillian to the right.

I probably don’t have to tell you they’re twins, nor that they’re absolutely gorgeous, but I can inform you that they’re fifteen years old, get top grades as often as I get cravings for chocolate, and can play pretty much any instrument.

When all us sisters and our father went to Spain this summer, Susanne and Lillian had to translate for us when we wanted to buy sodas or ice cream, because, yeah, they speak Spanish, too. I’d probably be super-jealous if I weren’t their big sister. Instead, I get to be super-proud, which is much better.

Fortunately, we definitely share a lot of genes, us sisters. The little ones and I have a fondness for nail polish. This is OPI’s Sparkle-icious over Manhunter (a black polish) from H&M, by the way.

Like Cookie, they dance both contemporary and jazz, and walk in high heels like it’s no thing at all. Now, I know a lot of people believe twins are pretty much “the same person” in two bodies, but Susanne and Lillian can be very different from each other, personality-wise. They remind me slightly of Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in the movie The Runaways, actually.

If you’ve seen Susanne play the guitar, you’ll know what I mean, as there are definitely some quiet Joan Jett vibes present. She can be quite impatient (like when I get to do her makeup…), and is effortlessly cool. Sometimes, though, like when she’s sick, she’ll let me make her a sandwich and curl up on my lap like a cozy little kitten.

Lillian is a bit softer, somehow, a sweeter kind of cool, the Cherie to Susanne’s Joan. But if you act unfair or are mean to someone, she’ll speak her mind in a way you won’t forget in a while. She’s also supremely absentminded, and can forget something in seconds. That’s all right, though, as she’s got Susanne to remind her.
